Pre-birthday Sephora haul!

I thought it was about time to do some real product-to-product comparisons, and where’s a better place to start than nail polish! Way easier to buy multiples of than something like foundation – and a lot more fun! Since I was online, I got to pick up a ton of samples and my birthday gift as well 🙂 Here’s everything I got:

Birthday gift! Mascara and highlighter minis from Benefit

Haven’t been too impressed by trying these out in the store with the demo applicators, but maybe the real wand (or at least the mini version) will make me a believer. We’ll see!

Samples! Clockwise from top left: Guerlain Skin Fusion Foundation; Narciso Rodriguez for her perfume; 21 drops 18 Sleep Essential Oil; Miss Dior perfume (250 point reward)

The 18 drops seems pretty gimmicky, but I LOVE the samples of both of these perfume brands that I’ve gotten before so I was excited to choose them. I haven’t heard of the Guerlain brand before so maybe this small sample will put it on my radar.

OCC Lip Tar All-Stars set, $20

Love love love my lip tar, but the color just isn’t wearable every day. Since so little lasts FOREVER in these I am really not concerned at all about the “mini” sizes. Excited to do fun ombre lips with these 🙂

Super into pastels lately, so I know these will get good use. I’ll get to check out this brand as well!

Baby’s first luxury nail polish! I’m really excited for this YSL as well – the color is SO iconic I couldn’t pass it up. Hopefully the quality matches up to the hype!

Figured I'd stay within the same color family for a more direct comparison!

Given the drastic price difference of the Lancome it’ll be interesting to compare the relative quality of these. I’ll look at opacity, pigment richness both wet and dry, and general ease of use. Let me know if there’s anything you’d like to see me try with these or anything else I got! Definitely excited for the reviews to come 🙂
